Dehradun, 28 Nov: The Board of Management meeting of Graphic Era Hill University was held today under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Jasola. This was the 24th meeting of the Board of Management.
In the meeting, the members of the Board discussed the academic progress and achievements of the university. Chairman of the Board of Management and Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Jasola highlighted that the university has made significant achievements in research during the academic session 2024-25. This includes 8 funded research projects amounting to 1.22 crore rupees and approval of 6 Consultancy/ MDP projects amounting to 50.92 crore rupees. Additionally, the university has published 2,049 Scopus Indexed research papers out of which 1,210 papers have been published in prestigious journals between June and November 2024.
Furthermore, 410 articles in Scopus/ WOS Indexed journals, 33 book chapters and 767 conference papers have been published. Out of these papers 645 conference papers and 43 articles are selected for publication in Scopus Indexed journals.
Dr Jasola said that, this year, Bhimtal campus with an impressive contribution has published research papers with an average of 4 papers per faculty and 220 indexed papers. The university has also successfully implemented the Uttarakhand Private Universities Act, 2023 and Uttarakhand Private Universities Statutes, 2024.
During the meeting, Board member and Director, Infrastructure, Dr Subhash Gupta suggested launching a post-doctoral program stating that it would help elevate the university’s educational standards.
Board members, including industry representatives Sameer Goyal (Head of Engineering, Equity Knowledge Partners, Bengaluru) and Sanjay Joshi (Vice President, HR, Intertek India Ltd), as well as academicians Prof Tabassum Haider Naqvi (Aligarh Muslim University) and Prof Binod Kumar Kanaujia (Director, National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar), appreciated the university’s efforts in research, faculty development, and consultancy.
The meeting was attended by Board members Dr Byomkesh Dubey (Representative of Secretary, Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand), Col Anil Nair (Director, Graphic Era Hill University, Bhimtal), Prof Manish Bisht (Director, Graphic Era Hill University, Haldwani), Prof Vishal Sagar (HOD, School of Management), Prof Vrince Vimal (Dean Research), and Member Secretary Prof DK Joshi (Registrar).
