Dehradun, 28 Nov: SSP, Dehradun, Ajai Singh has instructed all restaurants and hotels to provide food to delivery boys before midnight. It has been clearly instructed that after midnight, no orders from delivery boys would be accepted. This measure aims to prevent avoidable incidents and road accidents at night.
According to SSP Ajai Singh, many complaints have been received recently regarding food delivery boys. In addition, there have been reports that other items and illegal products are also being delivered late in the night under the guise of food. In response, the police have instructed all station in-charges to conduct night checks to prevent any food delivery post-midnight.
The Doon Police have also directed all restaurants and bars to close by 11 p.m. Surprise checks have now been initiated at night for delivery boys as well to prevent any kind of illegal activities and accidents or undesirable incidents. The Doon Police have claimed that this step also aims at ensuring safety of delivery boys.
