Aims to empower women entrepreneurs through food, art, culture & shopping

FICCI FLO Bazaar to be held on 15-16 Oct

Dehradun, 12 Oct: The FICCI Ladies Organisation announced its Seventh Edition of the fashion and lifestyle exhibition – FLO Bazaar 2023 – at a press conference held at Hotel Aketa, here, today. The Chairperson of FLO Uttarakhand, Dr Anuradha Malla, while addressing the media, shared that the annual extravaganza of food, art, culture, and shopping, the FLO Bazaar is scheduled to take place on the 15th & 16th of October at Hotel Aketa on Rajpur Road. This two-day-long exhibition will kick off at 11 a.m. and continue till 9.30 p.m.
She added, “The FLO Bazaar will be inaugurated by the Princess of the Royal Family of Rewa and the daughter-in-law of State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, Mohena Kumari Singh. Known for its diverse array of exhibitors, this year’s FLO Bazaar will feature artisans and creators from across the country, showcasing a wide range of products and artistic creations. Some of the prominent exhibitors include Ixora, Mona Jawandha, Amrita Rana Singh, Icchcha Textiles, Tupperware by Raashi Singhal, The Krafted Passion, Weaverstory, Iktaara, Jaamdani, Thread Wonders by Supriya Acharya, Shivam Panwar, Creati Witty by Maneet Suri, Arayna Kreations, Gigi’s Wellness Store, Baahara, The Valley Bakers, Gauraaj, Resin Artology, Amara Jewels, Priya Collections, Busybaya, Aaegnastore, Himalayan Kafal, Shopkuhoo, Khushi Creations, Namahaya, Arassion by Radhika Gupta Footwear, Shawl Story by Lubna Mirza, Soul in Saree & Sitara, Studio by Miss Crafty, Ajooni – Label by Mona Sheena, The Pink Okra, Kanzi Kreations, Kanha Diya Creation, Iden Collection and Kratika Gupta.”
The highlights of the two-day-long FLO Bazaar include a storytelling session for chiildren by Anubha, an open mic by Dr Prachi Kandwal, live musical performances by Womeniya band and Ruhaan Bhardwaj and a session on mental health by Yasha Bahari.
The Treasurer of FLO Uttarakhand and Coordinator of FLO Bazaar, Harpreet Marwah, said, “The FLO Bazaar is a vibrant celebration of entrepreneurship, creativity, and culture. We are excited to host this year’s shopping extravaganza, bringing together talented women entrepreneurs. It’s an opportunity for visitors to explore a wide array of exquisite products while supporting local artisans and entrepreneurs. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this grand celebration of art and commerce. The closing ceremony of FLO Bazaar will witness the presence the National Advisor, Ministry of MSME Teena Kapoor Sharma.”
Throwing light on holding the FLO Bazaar annually, Dr Anuradha stated, “The primary motive of organising the FLO Bazaar annually is to empower women entrepreneurs of the state. FLO aims to encourage and facilitate women to showcase their talents, skills, experiences, and energies across various sectors and verticals of the economy. This commitment to empowering women plays a central role in the organisation’s objectives, promoting a truly inclusive economic growth trajectory. Lastly, I would also like to proudly mention that FLO stands with the underprivileged. Several members sponsor the stalls for the NGOs and SHGs.”
The press conference was attended by coordinators of FLO Bazaar, including Sunita Vatsalya, Gauri Suri and Nisha Thakur, along with members of the FLO Uttarakhand chapter, exhibitors of FLO Bazaar, and city-based influencers.
