All-encompassing budget for developed India: Minister Ganesh Joshi

Dehradun, 23 July: State Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Ganesh Joshi has described the Union Budget 2024-25 as one that strengthens the overall development of the country and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve for a developed India by 2047.

Joshi said that the budget also announced the launch of Phase 4 of PMGSY to provide all-weather connectivity to 25,000 rural areas across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). The Rural Development Minister of the state said that in the fourth phase of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the Union Budget 2024-2025, 474 roads of 1844 km will be constructed in the areas with a population of more than 250 in the hilly areas in Uttarakhand as per the 2011 census. Which will facilitate the movement of villagers and contribute to economic development.

Minister Ganesh Joshi has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The minister said that this budget is all-inclusive, in which all sections including youth, farmers, women have been taken care of. He has also thanked the central leadership for the special assistance package for Uttarakhand for the loss caused by natural calamity. He said that special provision has been made in the budget for rural development and agriculture sector including youth, women. He also thanked the Centre for giving financial assistance to the state for situations like landslides and disasters.
