New Delhi, 23 Jul: Literary organisation ‘Shashvat Sahitya Sarita’ organised an evening in the name of literary stars. The programme was organised at Tasmia Auditorium, Jamia Nagar. On the occasion a book authored by Sarita Jain was also released.
The programme was presided over by Dr S Farooq, President, Tasmia All India Educational and Social Welfare Society.
Padma Shri awardee Professor Akhtar Wasey was the Chief Guest, while the special guests were Munir Humdam and Kashish Warsi.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Prof Akhtar Al Wasey said that this programme is important for Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb. He also congratulated the organisers.
The poets who presented their poems on the occasion and won appreciation from the audience included Qamar Anjum, Fareed Ahmad Fareed, Syed Nazm Iqbal, Danish Ayubi, Sarfraz Ahmad, Junaid Saqleni, Sabir Parvez, Abdullah Rahi, Ibrahim Alvi, Parveen Shagaf, Dr Sanjay Jain, Urvi Udal and Rauf Ramish.
Irfan Azmi compered the programme and. Sarita Jain, President of the Society, expressed thanks to the audience.
