SRINAGAR, 7 June:  The 49th meeting of the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) was held on Saturday in Srinagar under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir and SASB Chairman, Manoj Sinha. The meeting was of crucial importance in reviewing the preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025, with special focus on route security, pilgrim facilities, and enhancing the overall spiritual experience.
The presence of Paramhans Parivrajakacharya, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar, and Junapeethadheeshwar Swami Avdheshanand Giri added great spiritual depth and inspiration to the meeting.
Swami Avdheshanand remarked, “The Amarnath Yatra is not just a religious journey—it is a vibrant celebration of India’s Sanatan culture that embodies the soul and sensitivity of our nation. Here, devotees witness the divine and cosmic presence of Baba Amarnath Shiv, who resides in every Indian heart. This pilgrimage is a sacred opportunity to experience the very essence of India’s spiritual soul.”
He further stated, “Today’s Kashmir is a new Kashmir—symbolizing peace, strength, and a renaissance of Sanatan culture. The Amarnath Yatra is emerging as a living testimony to this transformation, filling every Indian heart with pride and devotion.”
The meeting highlighted that, following the success of Operation Sindoor, the key pilgrimage routes—especially via Pahalgam and Baltal—are now fully secured and well-structured. The SASB and the administration are working to provide world-class facilities for pilgrims, including modern medical services, comfortable accommodations, nutritious meals, and robust emergency response systems.
Key decisions taken in the meeting include:
Establishment of modern medical centers and health units along the pilgrimage routes
Deployment of Quick Response Teams (QRTs) for emergencies
Construction of information and help centers
Integrated coordination among local administration, security forces, and voluntary organizations
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the restoration of peace and stability in Jammu & Kashmir has transformed the Amarnath Yatra into a symbol of national pride. This year’s yatra promises to be not only safe and well-managed but also a spiritually uplifting and unforgettable experience for all devotees.
The meeting was also attended by the DGP of J&K, the Chief Secretary, senior officers from the Army and civil administration, whose coordination and insights have shaped the comprehensive blueprint of the Yatra.
SASB appeals to all pilgrims to follow the prescribed registration process and become part of this sacred journey to receive the divine blessings of Baba Amarnath and immerse themselves in the timeless heritage of Sanatan Dharma.
