DEHRADUN, 11 Jan: Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh in New Delhi on Friday. They discussed the Integrated Cooperative Development Project in Uttarakhand. Rawat also handed over a proposal of the state in this regard. The Union Minister gave in principle approval involving Rs 3340 crore for the project in Uttarakhand.
While expressing gratitude to the Union Minister, the Chief Minister said that the implementation of the Project would improve the condition of farmers in Uttarakhand. Farming, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries and other related activities will help in preventing migration.
Minister of State for Cooperatives Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram were also present on the occasion.
