DEHRADUN, 26 Dec: Kala Kendra is holding an art exhibition to celebrate Dr Dwijen Sen’s birth anniversary from 25 December onwards. The exhibition will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. till 29 December at 1, Patel Road, Buddha Chowk, here.
The exhibition is displaying Dr Dwijen Sen’s paintings and sculptures. Dr Dwijen Sen was from Santiniketan. He came and settled down in Dehradun, and established Kala Kendra 70 years ago. Along with his works, the paintings of old masters and veteran artists as well as senior students are being exhibited. Padma Vibhushan awardee Binod Behari Mukherjee, Laxman Pai, Rathin Mitra, BP Kamboj, Col VK Dougall, Monica Talukdar, Ashish Misra, Meera Dougall, Shabnam Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Cheryl, and several senior artists’ works are on display.
The exhibition has on display paintings, sculptures, pottery and photographs.
