BIL students interact with Gov

Dehradun, 16 Nov: Students of Bajaj Institute of Learning for the Deaf met Governer Baby Rani Maurya along with the principal and staff of the school.

The Governor gave a patient hearing to the students and was very impressed after interacting with them. A member of the staff interpreted the conversation in sign language of the deaf and mute children into the spoken language for the Governer. The children also performed the national anthem in sign language. The youngest student, who is only 5 years of age, gave a dance presentation and received very hearty appreciation from the audience.

Later, they also met a delegation of 40 students from Kashmir and the little dancer once again performed for them and thanked all of them in sign language. Governor Maurya suggested that the little girl who dances so well be trained in classical dancing. She accepted the invitation for the forthcoming Carnival of the Bajaj Institute of Learning, which is to be held on the grounds of the school on 8 December. The Governer also expressed her desire to visit the vocational centre of the Bajaj Institute which functions at the hostel on Sahastradhara Road.
