BJP leaders celebrate Mahendra Bhatt’s birthday with tree plantation drive

Dehradun, 4 Aug: The birthday of BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt was celebrated across Uttarakhand today with religious rituals and service‑oriented programmes organised by party workers. The temples across the state witnessed special prayers, jalabhishek, tree plantation drives, distribution of fruits and sweets, cow service and other social activities, all dedicated to wishing him long life and continued guidance to the organisation.

At the state party headquarters here today, a special plantation programme was held under the leadership of State General Secretaries Kundan Parihar and Tarun Bansal along with Jyoti Prasad Gairola, where senior office‑bearers and the party workers planted saplings praying for the Bhatt’s good health and longevity.

Addressing the gathering, Parihar said the birthday of the BJP State President is a day of joy and enthusiasm for all the party workers. He noted that under Bhatt’s leadership the BJP has strengthened unprecedentedly down to the booth level and that workers across the State are united in commitment to the organisation’s core values.

Parihar added that, on the occasion, the party workers had organised numerous programmes combining public service and religious rituals. Fruits were distributed to patients in hospitals, special Jalabhishek was performed in prominent temples of Uttarakhand, and Ganga aarti was held on the banks of the sacred rivers praying for Bhatt’s long life. He added that in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, a large‑scale plantation campaign was also undertaken for environmental protection. Conveying greetings on behalf of the party family, Parihar said prayers were offered to Badri‑Kedar, Mahasu Devta and Baba Bagnath for the State Party President’s health and longevity so that he could continue guiding workers for years to come.

Among those present at the BJP State Headquarters were Vinod Uniyal, Suresh Bhatt, Shadab Shams, Office Secretary Jaganmohan Rawat, Co‑Media In-charge Rajendra Negi, Spokesperson Mathura Datt Joshi, Himanshu Sangthani, Rajkumar Purohit, Harish Chamoli, Vijay Khanduri, several senior office‑bearers, public representatives, representatives of party wings and a large number of workers.
