BJP to celebrate year of successful governance on grand scale: Mahendra Bhatt

Dehradun, 17 Mar: On the occasion of completion of one year of the state government, the BJP will organise various public programmes on a large scale in the coming fortnight. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt shared this information during an informal chat with media persons at the BJP State Headquarters, here, today. He said that multi-purpose camps would be organised during which information regarding achievements and schemes of the state as well as the Union Government will be shared besides ensuring that every house is also delivered this information through distribution of leaflets.

Bhatt said that after the completion of booth empowerment workshops in the state, district and booth empowerment workshops have almost been completed in all 70 Vidhan Sabha constituencies. Now the programmes of Shakti Kendras are being run by the party organisation. Units of all Shakti Kendras have already been constituted. After this, booth level teams will be formed and panna pramukhs will be appointed by 31 March. After this, big programmes will be organised at the Shakti Kendra level in coordination with booth units, in which state officials including local MLAs and MPs will ensure their participation.

Bhatt said that on the completion of one year of the BJP government on 23 March, the party will organise programmes on a large scale, through which it will run a campaign to make the schemes of the central and state governments accessible to the masses.

Responding to the allegations of ending the budget session early, he said that everyone knows that the functioning of the Vidhan Sabha is done on the basis of the business decided by the Business Advisory Committee, in which Congress MLAs are also present. The Congress members speak one thing during the Business Advisory Meeting and totally another outside for public consumption. This time also, according to the Business Advisory Committee, the scheduled work was completed before the end of the session.
