Dehradun, 13 Aug: BJP leader Ravindra Jugran met Ranjit Sinha, Secretary, Technical Education, and raised the issue of the delay in conducting the recruitment examination for 500 Polytechnic Lecturer posts. He urged the department to ensure that the recruitment examination is conducted at the earliest.
The Secretary informed Ravindra Jugran that the state government has apprised the Uttarakhand High Court of its decision regarding the prescribed educational qualifications for the recruitment. Accordingly, MTech and equivalent qualifications, along with BTech, will now be considered valid.
He further stated that the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has sought clear guidance from the government regarding reservation for persons with disabilities in the recruitment. The required clarification will be conveyed to the Commission within the next two to three days, following which a fresh requisition for the recruitment will also be sent.
The Secretary assured Ravindra Jugran that efforts are being made on a war footing to conduct the recruitment examination at the earliest.
It may be recalled that the advertisement for the recruitment examination was issued on 23 July, 2024, and the examination was scheduled to be held on 20 March 2025. However, two days before the scheduled examination, the Uttarakhand High Court stayed the recruitment process.
