Dehradun, 5 Apr: Uttaranchal University hosted an event for the launch of the book, titled “101 Reasons Why I Will Vote For Modi”. Authored by Shantanu Gupta, the book aims to raise awareness about voting through a unique comic format.
Simultaneously launched in 101 colleges across 28 states of India, today, this initiative garnered widespread acclaim for its innovative approach to engaging citizens in the electoral process. The India Book of Record has officially recognised this achievement, emphasising the significance of the endeavour in promoting civic participation and amplifying discourse on contemporary political issues.
The event witnessed the presence of Chancellor Jitender Joshi, Dr Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr Shravan Kumar, Dean, Student Welfare, Dr Kartikey Gaur, Joint Registrar, Dr Vikas Jakhmola, Dean, UIPS, and other faculty members. The enthusiastic students also participated in the event by engaging in the democratic dialogues focused on the importance of exercising the right to vote responsibly and its significant impact in determining the future of the country.
Uttaranchal University reaffirmed its commitment to fostering intellectual discourse and societal engagement on a national scale by organising this event. The event was coordinated by Dr Anubhuti Dhyani and compered by Ishani Karki.
