DEHRADUN, 16 Nov: Day 1 at the Valley of Words Litfest saw an impressive turnout at the book launch of a book on body positivity for young adults titled ‘Hug Yourself ‘.
16 wonderful writers came together in this powerful anthology to share narratives that explore multiple themes on body positivity with the hope of helping empower teenagers navigate their modern worlds.
The book was unveiled by the Festival Director, Dr Sanjeev Chopra. The session was moderated by Ratna Manucha who has also contributed a story in the anthology, titled ‘My Mane Concern’. The other two discussants were Vibha Batra whose story is also in this anthology and Veena Krishnan, a psychologist.
It was an immensely interactive session between the panelists and the audience.
An important question that was raised was whether boys also suffer from body positivity issues as much as girls do.
The book is published by Penguin Random House India.
