Budget is pragmatic, has priorities right: Dr Dhasmana

Dehradun, 1 Feb: Dr Vijay Dhasmana, VC, SRHU, in his reaction to the Union Budget, 2023-24, stated that it is a pragmatic one wherein the government has set its priorities right, especially keeping in mind the weaker sections of society.

It is set to greatly benefit the Agricultural Sector and the farmers and geared to encourage the production of Millets and Startups, which is bound to have a positive impact on the economy.

He appreciated that appropriate steps are being envisaged for the production of Medical Devices within the country. This will greatly bring down the equipment costs and the cascading impact will bring down treatment costs and greatly invigorate the health sector.

“I am happy about the stimulation that the Health Sector will receive,” he declared.

ICMR earlier provided funds to government medical institutions for research. Now these funds will be made available even to private institutions. New research by private institutions will be reassuring for the general populace.

Revival of 50 additional airports will improve air connectively and further boost economic activity in the country. A series of measures to augment Artificial Intelligence in the country will work wonders for the country with the youth taking to automation, productivity, decision making and solving complex problems.

Setting up of 157 new Nursing Colleges will be a wonderful development for youth wanting to serve humanity. The diseased of the world will now have more hands to look after them.
