Dehradun, 10 Apr: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today distributed financial assistance amounting to Rs 19.60 lakh, sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund, to 49 shopkeepers affected by natural disaster in Sahastradhara, here.
The beneficiaries belong to villages under the Mussoorie Assembly constituency, including Majada, Karligad, Phulet, Sarona, Bagadadhoran, Ghaghoda, and Galjwadi.
On the occasion, the Minister expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and stated that the state government stands firmly with disaster-affected families at all times and is committed to providing all possible assistance.
During the programme, the Minister also inaugurated newly constructed shops built to replace those damaged in the disaster at Sahastradhara. He said that the reconstruction of these shops will help local traders regain their livelihoods and will boost economic activities in the region.
District Panchayat Member Veer Singh Chauhan, Gram Pradhan Rakesh Jawadi, Area Panchayat Member Ghanshyam Negi, and local residents were present on the occasion.
