CM condoles martyrdom of ITBP Inspector

Dehradun, 26 Jul: ITBP Inspector Chandra Mohan Singh sacrificed was killed on the India-Tibet border yesterday in an accident. This accident occurred while patrolling on the border.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has condoled the martyrdom of Singh. Chandra Mohan Singh was a resident of Jolly Grant in Dehradun. He was on duty near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and during a short-range patrol the accident occurred.
As per the news reports reaching here, Singh was yesterday on patrol duty and, along with his colleagues, engaged in building a temporary bridge on Karyupa Nullah in Lahaul Spiti, in Himachal Pradesh, when he slipped while crossing the nullah and fell into it. He was swept away by the rapid water flow during the monsoon period. ITBP jawans of another forward post at a distance of 100 metres pulled him out and took him to the hospital but he did not survive, attaining martyrdom.
Inspector Chandra Mohan, 55 years of age, was a resident of Durga Chowk, Jolly Grant, in Doiwala Block, Dehradun. He was recruited in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force in 1987 as a constable (GD) and was currently posted as Inspector (GD).
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to the martyrdom of Inspector Chandra Mohan Singh. The CM also prayed to God for eternal peace to the departed soul and for strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
