Dehradun, 13 Jan: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed payment of ex-gratia amount as financial assistance to the victims of the tragic Pauri bus accident. Every bereaved family will receive an ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakhs, each, while those seriously injured will be granted Rs 1 lakh each.
It may be recalled that 6 persons died while 22 others were seriously injured yesterday when a bus carrying 28 passengers from Pauri had plunged off the road.
According to an official communique, the CM has been actively monitoring the situation and regularly seeking updates on the condition of the injured from the Pauri District Magistrate. He has directed the officials to ensure proper medical care for the victims, instructing authorities to transfer any critically injured patients to higher medical centres if required.
It may be recalled that Dhami had yesterday expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. He has also reiterated the government’s commitment to extending all possible support during this challenging time.
