DEHRADUN, 24 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called on Governor Lt-General (Retd) Gurmit Singh at Raj Bhavan here today. During the meeting, there was a detailed discussion between the Governor and the Chief Minister on the development plans of the state, law and order and the action taken in relation to irregular appointments in the Vidhan Sabha. The Chief Minister said that the government had immediately accepted the recommendation of the committee constituted to investigate the appointments in the Vidhan Sabha to cancel the irregular appointments. He also informed the Governor about the action being taken in the case related to the brutal murder of daughter Ankita. He assured that the culprits would not be spared under any circumstances.
Expressing shock over the murder of Ankita Bhandari, whom he referred to as Uttarakhand’s daughter Ankita, the Governor expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
