CM Dhami inaugurates CT scan machine at Mussoorie hospital

Mussoorie, 7 Apr: On the occasion of World Health Day, DLF Foundation, the philanthropic arm of India’s leading real estate developer DLF Ltd, donated a state of the art CT scan machine to Sub-District Hospital, Mussoorie, as part of its commitment to support the public health systems to provide better access to healthcare for all. The CT scan machine was donated in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who lauded the DLF Foundation for its efforts to provide better and more accessible healthcare to the residents of Mussoorie and the surrounding areas. Gayatri Paul, CEO, DLF Foundation, Ganesh Joshi, Minister for Agriculture, Sainik Kalyan and Rural Development, and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
Congratulating, DLF Foundation on this noble initiative CM Dhami said, “I appreciate DLF Foundation’s thoughtful efforts to make healthcare accessible for all. People in Mussoorie and nearby areas, especially the ones living in rural areas, now need not travel far to avail CT scan services.”
The state-of-the-art CT scan machine will prove beneficial for patients coming to the hospital, especially from remote areas of Dehradun, New Tehri, and the Uttarkashi district.
Gayatri Paul affirmed, “We believe that this CT scan facility will strengthen the public health infrastructure at the sub-district hospital and provide quality healthcare to the underserved.”
DLF Foundation had also donated an Emergency Ventilation Machine to the Landour Community Hospital, Mussoorie in 2021 as part of its sustained CSR activities.
Earlier, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, BJP Mussoorie President Mohan Petwal, former municipal president OP Uniyal and all BJP t office-bearers welcomed Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on his arrival here.
Mohan Petwal drew the Chief Minister’s attention to the many problems of Mussoorie. He demanded setting up of a Sub Tehsil in Mussoorie.
Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi pointed out that the state is working on all-round development under the leadership of Chief Minister Dhami through various schemes. Joshi also raised various demands before the Chief Minister, on which Dhami promised early action. He said that the state government is going to implement the Uniform Civil Code soon. He revealed that work is also being done for the development of Mussoorie under several schemes. Rs 1.5 crore had been approved for the construction of Bhiladu Stadium in Mussoorie and Garhwal Dharamshala. He also announced that statehood agitator Subhashini Bartwal, a resident of Mussoorie, who is ill these days, would be got treated by the government.
On this occasion, women of Gram Sabha Kyarkuli presented juice made of Buransh to the Chief Minister under the leadership of village head Kaushalya Rawat.
CMS of the sub-district hospital, Dr Yatendra Singh said that Mussoorie residents will get a lot of benefit from the CT scan machine.
