Dehradun, 23 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today launched the re-published edition of ‘Philosophy and Action of RSS for Hind Swaraj’, jointly with RSS Sarkaryavaha Dattatreya Hosbole. On this occasion he described the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as a spiritually conscious and disciplined organisation devoted to nation-building. The launch, held at the IRDT Auditorium here this evening, saw the Chief Minister underlining Uttarakhand’s unwavering cultural resolve while reiterating the government’s assertive policies targeting illegal encroachments, religious conversions, and systemic reforms.
Speaking at the event, Dhami observed that the book, ‘Philosophy and Action of RSS for Hind Swaraj,’ written by Father Anthony in 1951, not only provides an in-depth look at the RSS‘s ideology, structure, and methods but also explains the essence of ‘Hind Swaraj’.” Dhami claimed that this book will help the future generations learn about the struggles, sacrifices, and dedication of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, thereby connecting them with the organization’s tradition and working style. The CM also observed that Father Anthony wrote this book during a time when many misconceptions about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were spreading in society. And in that challenging period, Father Anthony honestly wrote that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is not a communal organisation but a disciplined and spiritually aware group dedicated to nation-building. He observed the discipline, service, dedication, and patriotism of RSS workers and showed the world that this organization is the true foundation for rebuilding India.
Dhami also mentioned, father Anthony noted that the Sangh is working not just to restore the lost status of Hindu dharma but to eliminate social evils and unite all of India. He asserted that in its hundred-year journey, the RSS has brought about a divine wave of cultural revival, social harmony, self-respect, and national service in India. The CM added that when the first Sarsanghchalak, esteemed Doctor Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, founded the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in 1925, India was not only politically oppressed but also fragmented mentally, culturally, and religiously. Today, through its century-long dedication, the RSS has sparked a divine flow of cultural renaissance, social unity, self-esteem, and national service in India, igniting the flame of national awareness everywhere in the country.
The CM further added, that India that was once caught in a colonial mindset now takes pride in its cultural values, traditions, and scientific outlook. This self-esteem is a direct result of the Sangh’s tireless work. Dhami claimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has entered the ‘Amrit Kaal’ of renewed cultural consciousness. India’s rich history and cultural heritage, long overlooked, are now being re-established and serve as the base for national consciousness. Today, the flag of the Sanatan culture is proudly raised around the world, and India, reconnecting with its roots, is swiftly moving towards becoming a Vishwaguru again. The way the current government and the people are preserving and nurturing our religious heritage is unprecedented. Dhami also claimed that under Modi’s strong leadership, the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ is being realised through actions like ending Article 370 in Kashmir, abolishing social evils like triple talaq, and implementing laws such as the Citizenship Amendment Act and the Waqf Amendment Act.” He added that the commitment to ‘Antyodaya’ is being fulfilled by linking the most disadvantaged individuals to mainstream development through public welfare programs like the Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Prime Minister Awas Yojana, and the free ration scheme. Cabinet Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat and a large group of volunteers and social and political workers were present at the event.
