Dehradun, 23 Jul: Soldiers’ Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi, at his camp office, handed over a cheque of Rs 1.50 lakh as immediate relief to Pankaj Gusain, brother of deceased UPNL employee Kavita Gusain, who lost her life in a road accident. This assistance was provided through UPNL.
Minister Joshi stated that, in addition to this relief, the bereaved family would soon receive additional assistance of Rs 50 lakh through UPNL and Punjab National Bank. He directed the Managing Director of UPNL to expedite all paperwork related to the accident and ensure that the dependants receive benefits under relevant government schemes at the earliest. Expressing condolences to the grieving family, the minister assured them of all possible support from the government.
It is worth noting that on 10 July, Kavita Gusain met with a fatal accident on the Raipur-Ladpur Road while returning home from duty.
Present on the occasion were UPNL Managing Director Brigadier JNS Bisht (Retd), DGM Colonel Rajesh Negi (Retd), and DGM Major Himanshu Rautela (Retd).
