CM promises all help to martyr Praveen Singh’s family

TEHRI GARHWAL, 19 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the ancestral residence of martyr Praveen Singh Gusain in village Pundoli (Hadiyana), Tehri Garhwal, on Monday and consoled the family members of the martyr. Dhami met the martyr’s father Pratap Singh Gusain and mother Deepa Devi, expressed his condolences and assured all possible help. He said that the brave soldier Praveen Singh has been martyred in the service of the country and his name would be written in golden letters on the pages of history. The state government stands with the bereaved family at this time of crisis.

The Chief Minister obtained information from the District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer, Tehri Garhwal, regarding payment of the service bills of martyr Praveen Singh. MLA, Ghansali, Shakti Lal Shah requested upgrading of the upper primary school in Pundoli, beautification of the sports ground and hospital and naming these after the martyr.

Also present on this occasion were Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal, former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, District Magistrate Dr Saurabh Gaharwar, Chief Development Officer Manish Kumar, District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Officer, Tehri Garhwal, GS Chand, village head Kishan Vedpal along with other officials and villagers.

It may be recalled that on 2 June, Praveen Singh, a brave soldier of the 15th Garhwal Rifles, was martyred during a search operation conducted to nab terrorists in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
