Ramnagar, 28 Mar: On the occasion of the G-20 conference in Ramnagar, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Ramnagar today to oversee the preparations. He was welcomed in Ramnagar at the Degree College by Chholiya parties as well as by local women gathered in traditional Kumaoni costumes. They showered flower petals on the CM.
Dhami inspected the route on foot from the Degree College. He was happy to see the culture of Uttarakhand painted on the walls along the road. The Chief Minister expressed the desire to be photographed with the paintings in the backdrop. He also appreciated the maintenance and improvements in Ramnagar. The people of the area thanked the Chief Minister for the beautification of the residential buildings on the way by the district administration in view of the G-20 Summit.
Later, the GIC Dhikuli Vidyalaya, which has been renovated, was inaugurated by the Chief Minister. The GIC has been equipped with high quality furniture and other necessary amenities. He also inspected the children’s garden and swings at the school. After this, the Chief Minister reached the Dhikuli Garjia Temple and offered prayers to the Goddess and prayed for peace and prosperity in the state.
He also directed the officials to prepare and submit a proposal for the beautification of the Garjia Temple to the Irrigation Department by 15 April.
Present on this occasion were MLAs Diwan Singh Bisht, Rakesh Nainwal, Inder Rawat, Dinesh Mahra, Chauhan Chandra along with District Magistrate Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, SSP Pankaj Bhatt, Chief Engineer, Irrigation, Sanjay Shukla, Divisional Forest Officer Kundan Kumar, SDO Poonam along the local people.
