Dehradun, 10 Jun: BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt was today in very aggressive mood against the Congress party. He accused the former President of Congress, Rahul Gandhi, of attempting to defame the country and accused the Congress party of insulting the armed forces of the nation.
In a statement issued today, taking an indirect jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Mahendra Bhatt today sought to remind that at the time when the Indian Armed Forces were deployed at Galwan and were pushing the Chinese soldiers behind while themselves also achieving martyrdom, some Congress leaders were holding secret meetings with senior officials of Chinese Embassy in New Delhi. Those who are speaking about patriotism and questioning the patriotism of the Modi Government are those who hold secret meetings with countries at war with India. This, he described as an insult to the Indian soldiers, which he asserted will not be tolerated. The courageous people of Uttarakhand will not tolerate such nonsense, Bhatt claimed.
Bhatt also strongly criticised the ‘propaganda being spread by the Congress’ from Delhi to Dehradun that the Chinese soldiers were patrolling the borders. He said, their leader Rahul Gandhi defames the country abroad and the party insults the bravery of the Indian Army in the country. He has termed as baseless and irresponsible the statements made by Congress leaders from Delhi to Dehradun regarding the border related to Uttarakhand. He also called upon the Congress leaders to introspect and look at its own history. It was due to short sighted policy of Congress Government that India lost more than 38,000 square kilometres of area to China. After 2014 not an inch of Indian territory was ceded to any other enemy. At the time when China is building infrastructure on old occupied Indian territory in its possession since 1962, Congress is raising a bogey, questioning the bravery of Indian soldiers. Bhatt asserted that Indian territory was lost to China several decades ago due to the cowardice shown by the Congress Government.
Bhatt sarcastically said that those who are making unrestrained allegations on the basis of half-incomplete information about Galwan and Doklam, they have to remember that when the brave Indian soldiers were fighting the Chinese army, their top leader Rahul Gandhi was holding secret meetings at the Chinese Embassy with Chinese officials. Also the Congress party had received crores of rupees as donation from China during the UPA Rule. Bhatt sought to know, why was the donation taken and what was it used for? Bhatt reminded that the top Congress leader goes to abroad to defame the country and his party leaders at the same time indulge in insulting the brave Indian forces. He added that the brave people of Uttarakhand will not tolerate this insult to the armed Indian forces and the country by the Congress party.
