Dehradun, 17 Jul: BJP has termed the padyatra to Kedarnath Dham announced by Congress as politically motivated. State BJP President Mahendra Bhatt, during an informal chat with media persons at the BJP State Headquarters here, today, stated that no one can even imagine undermining the greatness of the Char Dhams. He claimed that the march to Kedarnath announced by Congress as part of a conspiracy to spread lies and confusion to gain undue advantage in the upcoming Kedarnath by-election.
Bhatt claimed that the people of Uttarakhand and Kedarghati are well aware of the anti-Sanatan face of Congress and will expose their electoral Hindu mask. Congress is unable to digest the successful Char Dham Yatra and the growing economy of local businesses, that is why it is trying to impact the Yatra.
Responding to questions at the party headquarters, Bhatt claimed that Congress is unnecessarily creating a controversy for political purposes regarding Kedarnath Dham. Every person who believes in Sanatan Dharma knows that no one can reduce the importance of the four Dhams. But the Congress party has always been anti-Sanatan and it has never believed in the existence of Lord Ram and the greatness of religious places. This is the reason why, despite the fact that the trustees of the concerned temple being built in Delhi have declared that they will change the name and the Teertha Purohits have also postponed the agitation at the request of the Chief Minister, the Congress continues to play politics over this issue.
The BJP State President asserted that with the announcement by Congress regarding the padyatra from Haridwar on this issue, the political intentions of the Congress have also become clear. Their only motive is to influence the by-election to be held in Kedarnath in their favour. It is very unfortunate, irresponsible and insensitive that the Kedar Dham is being made an issue of politics. To gain undue electoral benefit, confusion and lies are being spread about the traditions and greatness of the Dham by the Congress leaders despite being aware that their propaganda about the glory of their Dham can affect the image and pilgrimage of Kedar Dham. But unfortunately, Congress is doing all this in the name of Kedar Dham. There may be many other issues for doing politics or taking out padyatras, but at this time Congress is only interested in indulging in unfair politics to win the Kedarnath election.
He stressed that the people of Devbhoomi including Kedarghati are well aware of the anti-Sanatan face of Congress and hence this time too they will soon expose their hypocrisy.
