Dakra Gurdwara celebrates Guru Nanak’s 551st Prakash Parv

Dehradun, 30 Nov: A programme was organised, today, on the occasion of the 551st Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak at the Sri Gurdwara Sahib, Dakra Bazaar, here. On this occasion, Kirtan Durbar was organised in the Gurdwara campus. Ragi Bhai Jasbir Singh of the Gurdwara performed Kirtan. Bhai Charanjit Singh performed Kirtan Ardas and sought blessings for all from the Guru.
On this occasion, the Gurdwara was decorated with flowers and a large number of people took the blessings of the Guru and asked for fulfillment of their wishes. Devendra Pal Singh, a member of Gurdwara Sahib Dakra, said that all the arrangements were made by the Managing Committee in the Gurdwara premises abiding by Covid-19 precautions.
Entry was being given to the Gurdwara campus only after screening of all the devotees. Everybody’s hands were sanitised or washed, while social distancing was also taken care of in the gurudwara premises. Wearing of masks by devotees was made mandatory. Volunteers were given responsibility by the managing committee to ensure these arrangements.
A large number of devotees were present on this occasion, including the Chairman, Managing Committee Dalip Singh, Secretary Gurmeet Singh, Jagjit Singh, Devendra Pal Singh, Inder Jeet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Angad Deep Singh, Manit Singh, Harminder Singh, Surender Singh and Jaskaran Singh.
