Dehradun, 12 Jan: The Dehradun Police organized an awareness program in the Doiwala region at the Sant Nirankari Bhawan on Sunday. The event aimed to educate the public about the harmful effects of drugs and encourage them to stay away from substances that can ruin lives.
The program aimed to make people aware of the dangers of drug use. Police officials informed the attendees about the serious health risks of drug addiction and shared ways to prevent it. During the event, participants took an oath to stay away from drugs and support the efforts to eliminate drug abuse in the community.
The police appealed to the public to unite against drug trafficking and to inform authorities if they have any information regarding drug smugglers. This initiative is part of a larger state-wide campaign directed by the Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttarakhand, Deepam Seth under which all police officers have been instructed to take strict action against drug dealers and raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs. The Doiwala Police, led by the SSP Dehradun, Ajai Singh expressed their commitment to continue working with the community in the fight against drug abuse.
