Delegation of MLAs from Tribal Areas meets Koshyari

Mumbai, 9 Dec: A delegation of Members of Maharashtra State Legislature from the Tribal Areas of the State met Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and handed over a memorandum at Raj Bhavan, here, today.
The delegation led by Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Narhari Zirwal demanded removal of discrepancies in the implementation of the Forest Rights Act and effective implementation of the PESA Act. The delegation further demanded inclusion of certain villages that have been currently left out in the PESA areas.
Members of the State legislature Dharmaraobaba Atram (Aheri), Shrinivas Vanaga (Palghar), Manjula Gavit (Kudashi, Dhule), Nitin Pawar (Kalwan), Vinod Nikole (Dahanu), Sunil Bhusara (Vikramgad), Rajesh Patil (Belwadi, Palghar), Dr Kiran Lahamate (Rajur, Akole), Rajkumar Patel (Amravati) and others were present.
