Balancing in sports and studies makes one stress free.” The guest of honour, Dr Ashish Gautam, President – Divya Prem Seva Mission, lauded the efforts of the students in making the programme exemplary. Sandeep Jain, Managing Director, Akums Drugs and Pharma Limited, congratulated the teachers for their unflinching support in making the school rise.

The Directors, Peeyush Jain and Ajay Jain, and the Pro Vice Chairman, Vikas Goyal, felicitated the dignitaries.

The programme began with a lamp-lighting ceremony and a recitation of the Ram Stuti. The Principal, Poonam Shrivastava, then delivered the official welcome speech.

The captivating performances of students left everyone mesmerised in ‘Prakriti Ke Rang Bachpan Ke Sang’: The little students presented a beautiful dance based on the Mowgli song and an ‘Ek Soch’ song. Their devoted and vibrant performance captivated everyone, reflecting their love for nature and the joys of childhood. This dance was a beautiful blend of the children’s grace and sweetness, along with the rhythm and emotions of the music.

’Panchamahabhootam’: The subsequent presentation was based on the five great elements Space, Air, Water, Fire and Earth. In this dance, students beautifully and vividly depicted the five fundamental elements of nature. They emotionally presented the vastness of the sky, the movement and cleanliness of air, the purity and life-giving importance of water, the energy and transforming power of fire, and the stability and preservation of Earth, receiving thunderous applause from the audience.

’Satya, Tap, Daya, Daan’ (Truth, Austerity, Compassion, Charity): Students then presented a dance-drama based on the four eras (Yugas), with special emphasis on the Narsingh Avatar in the Sat Yuga. The presentation linked the four ages of Hinduism (Sat Yuga, Treta Yuga, Dwapar Yuga, and Kali Yuga).

The Treta Yuga was based on Siyaram (Sita and Rama). The Dwapar Yuga was based on Shri Krishna, the Mahabharata, and the Draupadi Cheer Haran. The Kali Yuga featured a dance-drama based on robots and evil (Shaitan). In this section, students staged an impactful play on the declining values within families, which prompted deep contemplation among the audience regarding the erosion of family values. This presentation highlighted the deteriorating family bonds in modern life.

Communal Harmony: Students presented an engaging dance based on major festivals celebrated in India, such as Diwali, Eid, Baisakhi, and Christmas.

Then followed the Grand Finale, titled ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’. Through songs and dramatic performances, the students portrayed feelings of patriotism and the contributions of farmers, inspiring everyone.

The programme was hosted by the students Vaishnavi Rana and Shreyansh Saraswat.

Following this, the Head Girl, Aadya Shukla, presented the Annual School Report.

Amita Ohri, the In-charge of DPS Junior School, expressed her gratitude to all the guests present, noting that their presence lent dignity to the event.
