Dehradun, 8 Oct: “All departments should free their land from encroachment by running a continuous campaign to identify encroachment on government land in the district.”
This instruction was given by District Magistrate Savin Bansal at a meeting held late last evening with the officers of all the departments at the Rishiparna Auditorium in the Collectorate regarding making government land encroachment free.
The District Magistrate directed that the nodal officer of the department concerned will take action to remove the encroachment by holding a coordination meeting with the SDM and Police Circle Officer, while identifying the encroachment.
The District Magistrate expressed displeasure over the departmental officers writing action in progress on the report of encroachment and directed to mention the date by when the action will be taken.
At the same time, the officials of the Municipality in Herbertpur said that their land near the Asan River has been encroached, on which notice was given to the persons concerned. When the District Magistrate asked about the date of the notice, he was tole it was sent in 2021. The District Magistrate expressed deep displeasure and said that, after sending the notice, why did it take so long to take action. The department should take immediate action to free the encroachment.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Singh, Divisional Forest Officer, Dehradun, Neeraj Kumar, Additional District Magistrate, Administration, Jai Bharat Singh, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Corporation, Dehradun, Bir Singh Budiyal, Divisional Forest Officer, Kalsi, Municipal Commissioner, Rishikesh, Shailendra Singh Negi, SDM, Headquarters, Shalini Negi, Joint Magistrate Anamika, SDM, Vikasnagar, Vinod Kumar, SDM, Sadar, Kumkum Joshi, SDM, Rishikesh, Smriti Parmar along with Irrigation, PWD, UJVNL, NH, NHI officials and Executive Officers of all Municipal Bodies.
