Dehradun, 28 Jul: Perhaps taking a cue from the CM asking officers to resolve public complaints in a sincere manner, Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar has strictly directed the police officers concerned to take the complaints being received on CM Helpline 1905 and from their mediums seriously and to resolve them with utmost sincerity.
Ashok Kumar issued these instructions during a review meeting held in respect of CM Helpline 1905  through video conference with the area and Police officers in charge of the districts. The meeting was held at the auditorium in the Police Headquarters here today.
Among the directions issued by him was that the police officers should resolve the complaints of the general public by organising (1905 Helpline Grievance Redressal Day) on every Friday at the headquarters and district level. He also instructed them to hold talks with the complainants  personally
on the pending complaints in the 1905 portal. Kumar also asked them to keep the dashboard of the Chief Minister’s Helpline 1905 updated through regular monitoring on a priority basis.
Kumar further directed them to make calls on each and every complaint received through the Chief Minister Helpline-1905 from the police station level (1905 portal). He further directed the police officers in charge of all the districts to take action by fixing accountability in relation to complaints pending for a long time. The DGP also made a remark that the percentage of the disposal of all the complaints received from all modes be increased.
