Gopeshwar (Chamoli), 15 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today heard public grievances at the ‘Seva, Sushasan evam Samarpan’ public outreach camp organised under the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign at the Police Ground in Gopeshwar and ensured on-the-spot resolution of several cases. He also distributed assistance materials, sanction letters and financial aid to the beneficiaries of various government welfare schemes.
A total of 7,472 people participated in the camp. Of the 1,737 applications received by various departments, all of them were processed during the camp itself. Besides, 203 complaints were received, of which 172 were resolved on the spot, while the remaining complaints were referred to the concerned departments for expeditious disposal. Altogether, 4,632 beneficiaries were provided assistance under various departmental schemes.

During the programme, Sarita Devi of Khaltara village in Nandanagar block informed Dhami that although her area produces abundant jhangora (barnyard millet), farmers were unable to realise remunerative prices due to the lack of proper threshing and processing facilities. Acting immediately on her request for a jhangora threshing and processing machine, the CM directed Agriculture Department officials to provide the machine to her from the department’s stall at the camp itself.
Neeraj Bhatt of Rauli Gwad village in Dasholi block requested that lily flower bulbs be made available by August to facilitate cultivation. The CM directed the concerned officials to ensure their availability within a month. Gulshan Singh Rana of Badagaon village in Jyotirmath block sought assistance for establishing a poultry farm by providing a poultry shed. He also approved the proposal under the National Livestock Mission and directed officials to extend the necessary support.
Similarly, Jaydeep Singh of Kaujpothni village in Dasholi block complained that his application for contractor registration with the Public Works Department for road and culvert construction had been pending for four days. The CM directed the Executive Engineer to complete all formalities and approve the registration the same day. Devendra Singh of Nauli village in Pokhari block requested apple saplings under the Apple Mission and anti-hail nets to protect fruit crops from hailstorms. Dhami directed the District Horticulture Officer to ensure that he received the maximum possible benefits available under departmental schemes along with the applicable subsidy.
The CM asserted that state government’s objective is to ensure prompt and effective resolution of public grievances. Through the ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ campaign, the government itself was reaching out to people and resolving their problems on the spot, thereby strengthening transparency, accountability and public confidence in governance.
On the occasion, Dhami also distributed assistance materials and financial support to beneficiaries of various government schemes. The Women Empowerment and Child Development Department distributed Chief Minister Mahalakshmi Kits to six beneficiaries, while the Social Welfare Department provided Scheduled Caste daughters’ marriage assistance to three beneficiaries.
The Agriculture Department provided a Farm Machinery Bank to Tilak Self-Help Group of Kundi village, a jhangora processing machine to one beneficiary, bush and grass cutter machines to two beneficiaries and chain-linked fencing to Bairagana village. The CM also honoured Roopkund Fed Farmers Producer Company Limited of Hatkalyani (Dewal) and Unnati Autonomous Cooperative FPO of Padergaon (Nandanagar) for achieving an annual turnover of Rs 1 crore through outstanding performance in the agriculture sector.
Under the Deendayal Upadhyay Cooperative Farmers’ Welfare Scheme, the Cooperative Department distributed loan cheques carrying zero percent interest to four beneficiaries. The Animal Husbandry Department provided fodder seeds to two beneficiaries. Under the Horticulture Department, one beneficiary received Rs 4 lakhs under the NABARD Polyhouse Scheme, another received Rs 2 lakhs under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, one beneficiary was sanctioned Rs 2 lakhs under the Mushroom Production Scheme, while another received financial assistance of Rs 4.20 lakhs under the Kiwi Mission Scheme. In addition, cheques under the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme were distributed to five beneficiaries to encourage self-employment.
On the occasion of Harela festival, the CM also planted a Rudraksha sapling under the ‘Har Gaon Ka Yahi Paigam: Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and called upon people to contribute towards environmental conservation. He said protection of nature is an integral part of Indian culture and that planting more trees is a collective responsibility to ensure a clean and green environment for future generations.
Those present on this occasion included Minister-in-Charge for Chamoli Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Tharali MLA Bhupal Ram Tamta, Karnaprayag MLA Anil Nautiyal, Badrinath MLA Lakhpat Butola, Chamoli Zila Panchayat Chairman Daulat Singh Bisht, Chamoli-Gopeshwar Municipal Council Chairman Sandeep Rawat, Karnaprayag Municipal Council Chairman Ganesh Shah, State Women’s Commission Vice-Chairperson Chandrakala Tiwari and senior officials and public representatives.
