Dhami participates in virtual meeting with PM Modi on Covid

Dehradun, 27 Apr: Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, held a virtual meeting with the Chief Ministers of all the states of the country in view of Covid-19. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat participated in the meeting through virtual medium.
Later, at a meeting with officers at the Secretariat, Chief Minister Dhami directed that, for effective control of Covid, proper compliance with Covid Appropriate Behaviour be ensured. He directed the officers to conduct fire safety audit of the hospitals. He said it ought to be ensured that all arrangements are in place at the hospitals with adequate manpower in view of a possible corona wave. Special focus had to be placed on Test, Track and Treat.
The Chief Minister also asked for the vaccination campaign to be expedited in the state. He also called for acceleration in the pace of vaccination among children between the ages of 12 and 14, for which an awareness campaign could be conducted. The Chief Minister said that Covid had to be controlled while ensuring social and economic activities also continue.
Present on this occasion were Chief Secretary Dr SS Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Secretary Radhika Jha, Additional Secretary Sonika, Prof Durgesh Pant and Health Department officials.
