DEHRADUN, 30 Aug: The members of the Bhoomi Kanoon Abhiyan Uttarakhand (2016) felicitated the Dehradun District Magistrate on Saturday for his swift action against encroachment on government land and for other commendable decisions taken in public interest. The members stated that the public is always happy to stand by such officers who immediately listen to and resolve the problems and the issues of the poor. They said that such officers are rare and can be counted on one’s fingers. The DM’s pro-people decisions are being appreciated not only in Dehradun but across the entire state of Uttarakhand. The Bhoomi Kanoon Abhiyan Uttarakhand (2016), along with every citizen of the state, hopes that this administrative judicial work culture spreads across Uttarakhand.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the campaign’s founder and chief convener, Shankar Sagar, along with all the members, including co-convener Anand Singh Rawat, Garhwal convener Ashok Negi, Kumaon convener Umed Bisht, and women’s conveners Rajesh Petwal and Dhana Waldiya. Also present were Krishna Bijalwan, Subhaga Pharswan, Jyotika Pandey, Kalpeshwari Negi, Deveshwari Gusain, Pooja Budhathoki, Geeta Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, and many others.
