DEHRADUN, 25 Feb: Doctors of Uttarakhand have acknowledged the important role played by State BJP President Ajay Bhatt, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Health Secretary Nitish Jha in resolving the differences that led to their strike against the CEA.
The ongoing self-closure by the private doctors was creating problems, both, for patients and doctors.
Ajay Bhatt spent a considerable amount of time to understand issues related to the Clinical Establishment Act & MDDA. He did in-depth study in these matters and was instrumental in taking the Doctors to meet CM Rawat.
The CM also took keen interest in understanding various problems of the doctors. Both the leaders empathised with the doctors and formed a Committee under the Chairmanship of Cabinet Minister Prakash Pant to look into the issues pertaining to the CEA.
Doctors withdrew the agitation immediately and promised to comply with the order of High Court to get registered under the CEA. Nitish Jha also promised to solve the issues involving MDDA in the near future.
The delegation to the CM was led by State IMA President Dr BS Judge and State Chairman, Action Committee, Dr Rajesh Tiwari. Dr Shailendra Mohan Singhal (ex-MLA) put forth all the issues related to doctors.
