Dehradun, 20 Aug: Dr Ajeet Kumar Maurya, a UGC-Assistant Professor at Department of Physics, Doon University, has been selected for the prestigious International Sunanda and Santimay Basu Early Career Award in Earth-System Science by American Geophysical Union (the world’s largest union of geo-scientists). This is a very selective award given annually to an individual in recognition of his/her outstanding contribution to research in Earth-System Sciences on the basis of global competition.
The award will be given during the annual meeting of American Geophysical Union (AGU) in San Francisco, during 9-15 December.
Vice Chancellor of Doon University Dr Chandrashekhar Nautiyal has extended good wishes to Ajeet Kumar Maurya and hoped that he will have many more such achievements in future.
