NEW DELHI, 5 Sept: Dr Charu Sharma known for her dedication and commitment to unlocking the full potential of every child was recently awarded by the President of India Srimati Droupadi Murmu along with others on Teachers’ Day. Her visionary leadership transformed a Sarvodaya Vidyalaya into a premier Dr Rajender Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya at President Estate, New Delhi setting a new standard for educational excellence. She has been instrumental in creating a modern learning environment by establishing an Al lab, a Digital language lab, and three Bal Vatikas. Beyond academics, has also been a driving force in raising awareness about crucial issues such as menstrual health, child marriage, and environmental sustainability. Her efforts in promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management have earned her prestigious recognitions including the KVS National incentive Award, Cleanliness Environmental Awards, Green School Award, Green School Audit, and Energy Management Award. Core area of appreciation for which she has been commended is ‘Transforming School through team work, mental health and mentorship.’
Before joining Dr Rajender Prasand Kendriya Vidyalaya she served in various KVs of Uttarakhand at Almora, Ranikhet, Birpur, Augustmuni, IIP Dehradun, FRI Dehradun and IMA, Dehradun.
