Mussoorie, 18 Feb: Dr Khajan Singh Chauhan, senior anesthesiologist posted at the Mussoorie Sub-District Hospital, was awarded for his excellent departmental services and work done in public interest at the swearing-in of the Provincial Executive of the State Medical Health Services Association, 2024.
Vineeta Shah, Director General, Medical Health and Family Welfare Department, honoured Dr Khajan Singh Chauhan with a citation. Dr Chauhan expressed his gratitude for the honour. He said that, after this, the responsibility towards his work increases and he would try to provide better services to the people.
He said that, at present, he is a senior anesthesiologist and ultrasonologist at the Sub District Hospital. Even before this, he has served in many government hospitals. Before the Corona period, he was posted in CSC Raipur. From 2006 to 2014, he had served in the inaccessible area of Purola, where in adverse circumstances, he provided treatment to the patients of the surrounding areas. Even after being posted in Mussoorie, every month he goes to Chakrata’s remote areas, about 250 kilometres away from Mussoorie, and does ultrasound of about 80 to 100 pregnant women.
