Dehradun, 22 Apr: Earth Day was observed at The Himalayan Public School, here, today. This year’s theme is – ‘Save All Species’. A special prayer, pledge and song on Earth Day were conducted at the morning assembly.
Poster making and slogan writing competitions were held for classes I to XII. A powerpoint presentation was also shown to the students to make them aware about Mother Earth.
Speeches were delivered in Hindi by Atharva Gairola (X-A) and in English by Yashasvi Rauthan (VIII-B).
School Chairman Dr Aditya Arya addressed the gathering. Later, students with School Chairman Dr Arya, Secretary Archita Chaudhary, Principal Dr Ena Banerjee planted trees of Harada and Baheda in the school compound.
