Dehradun, 16 Jul: While speaking today to Garhwal Post, Qazi Nizamuddin, the newly elected MLA from Manglaur, reminded that he is a four term MLA. In the past, there has never been any dispute in processions and rallies. He said that people of every class and religion of this area live in harmony and brotherhood. He added that he was welcoming everyone who came to his house to congratulate him on his victory. Nizamuddin also reminded that his family has been living in Manglaur for several decades. Harmony has always been the top priority of his family and will always remain so.

Nizamuddin also claimed that there were efforts by outside elements to incite the voters and even to prevent people from casting votes at certain booths. He said that BJP leaders like Kunwar Pranav Singh and Swami Yatishwaranand were roaming around the constituency before and during the polling and the police was not taking any action. He had complained to the police regarding the unauthorised movement of these leaders from outside the constituency. He also asserted that he had never been witness to such a scene here and that it is a matter of relief that the situation is totally normal in the constituency though some particular news channels are claiming otherwise.

It may be recalled that Qazi Nizamuddin’s father Haji Taslimuddin was also an MLA from here in undivided UP, representing the BSP and was also part of the interim assembly after the creation of Uttarakhand as a separate state.
