Dehradun, 22 Jul: Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, is holding a two week (22 July to 4 August 2022) Faculty Development Programme on ‘Artificial Intelligence and its Impact on Industry 4.0 and Healthcare System’.
The programme was inaugurated with virtual curtain raising and traditional lamp lighting as a tribute to Goddess Saraswati Chancellor Jitender Joshi, Vice President Prof SS Sehgal, Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna and HOD Dr Amit Semwal along with the UIPS faculty members.
Dean Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola in his address, welcomed the keynote speaker of the opening day session, Prof (Dr) Kamla Pathak, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, Uttar Pradesh. She laid emphasis on the importance, need, challenges and awareness involved in the use of ‘Artificial Intelligence’ in day to day life along with its versatile utilisation in the field of academics, industry, research and medical sciences as well. Today’s session was carried forward by the next speaker, Prof (Dr) Anita Gehlot, Head, Research & Innovation, Uttaranchal University, who delivered her views on ‘Healthcare 4.O’, which brought to light the pros and cos of the advancement in the recent healthcare system.
