Haridwar, 3 Feb: On the instruction of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, an FIR has been filed against 9 persons in the Question paper leak case related to recruitment of Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers at Kankhal Police Station, here, today. The CM’s order to register the FIR in the case has come in the wake of the SIT Haridwar’s investigation. The case has been registered at Kankhal Police Station under sections 420, 409, 120b of the IPC and other relevant provisions of the Public Examination Act and under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.
Making his observation on the case, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Our government is determined to reform the entire system. Those involved in irregularities in recruitment will not be spared at all. On receipt of complaints in AE and JE examinations of UKPSC, an immediate inquiry had been ordered. Strict action will be ensured against whoever will be found involved in these. In the past, too, those involved in irregularities in various recruitments have been sent to jail.
Dhami added, “Efforts are sincerely being made on ensuring that recruitment examinations are conducted in a completely transparent and clean manner. Examinations are also being conducted according to the recruitment calendar issued. The country’s most stringent anti-copying law will be soon implemented in Uttarakhand. No injustice will be allowed to happen to the youth of the state.”
