Dehradun, 13 Nov: On the occasion of Diwali, the state’s First Lady, Gurmeet Kaur, celebrated the festival by visiting Prem Ashram in Dalanwala and distributed gifts to the elders. While wishing them a happy Diwali, she also inquired about everyone’s well-being. 
Kaur assured all possible help and cooperation for the old age home. She said that everyone should celebrate the happy festival of Diwali together. Helpless and destitute people should also be included in their happiness, this gives them a chance to celebrate.
Earlier, Gurmeet Kaur reached Himjyoti School and wished the children on the occasion of Diwali. Here, too, she distributed sweets and gifts to the children.
Kaur also told the children about the importance of Diwali festival. The children presented cultural programmes on the occasion. She wished them all a bright future.
