First Session of ‘Confluential’ held at St George’s College

Mussoorie, 22 Feb: The first Confluential session for the academic year 2025 was hosted at St George’s College, here, today. The event sought to offer students valuable insights from stories of struggle, perseverance, and success.

The distinguished Guest Speaker, Anil Kumar Raturi, a former Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer and presently, Commissioner, Uttarakhand Right to Service Commission, was warmly welcomed by the student community. The session commenced with a solemn prayer led by Ranveer Kandhari, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Brother Ramesh Amalanathan, and Vice-Principal Brother Felix Kumar.

Following an introduction by Rodas Bhatia, Principal Brother Ramesh Amalanathan presented the Chief Guest with a planter as a token of appreciation.

In his address, Anil Kumar Raturi emphasised the significance of determination, discipline, and diligence as the cornerstones of success. He underscored the importance of a disciplined lifestyle, structured schedules, time management and continuous learning as essential principles for students striving for excellence. Raturi also stressed that the need to develop mental, physical and spiritual strength is intrinsic to a compassionate leader.

A stimulating Q&A session followed, allowing students to engage with the speaker and gain further insights. The event concluded with the presentation of a memento to the guest as a token of gratitude. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Rishit Bisht, marking the end of an inspiring and thought-provoking session.

The first session of Confluential was successfully conducted under the supervision of Brother Ramesh Amalanathan (Principal), Brother Felix Kumar (Vice-Principal & Sports Secretary), Brother Babu Varghese (Superior), Bhavnesh Negi, Mark Gonsalves, PD Jaiswal, Juliana D’Souza, Stormy Hazarika and Pallavi Goel.
