Foundation of Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram celebrated at Raj Bhavan

Dehradun, 20 Feb: The Foundation Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram was celebrated at Raj Bhavan, here, today. Students from these states residing in Uttarakhand participated in the event. On this occasion, students from Arunachal Pradesh performed their traditional folk dances, and the event showcased glimpses of the rich folk arts, music, and traditional dances of both states.

Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) participated in the event and extended his greetings to everyone on behalf of the entire state. He highlighted that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a tradition has been established to celebrate the Foundation Days of the Indian states at the national level. This initiative strengthens interstate dialogue, cultural exchange, and national unity.

Sharing his experiences from his service in the armed forces, the Governor praised the rich traditions, biodiversity, scenic beauty, and cultural heritage of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram. He emphasised the strategic importance of Arunachal Pradesh in national security and acknowledged the valiant contribution of its soldiers to the Indian Army. He urged everyone to further strengthen the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and contribute towards the nation’s progress.

The event was attended by Secretary to the Governor Ravinath Raman, Additional Secretary Swati S Bhadauria, Finance Controller Dr Tripti Srivastava, Deputy Secretary Lakshman Ram Arya, along with people from both states.
