Annual Day & Prize Distribution Ceremony 2024 held at Nirmala Inter College, Mussoorie

Mussoorie, 5 Dec: Nirmala Inter College, affiliated with its sister institution, St George’s College, organised its Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony 2024, here, today.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr Dhan Singh Rawat (Minister of Education and Health, Government of Uttarakhand), accompanied by Brother Babu Varghese (Manager, Nirmala Inter College), Brother Alphonse Tirkey (Principal, Nirmala Inter College), Brother Ramesh Amalanathan (Principal, St George’s College), Brother Felix Kumar (Vice-Principal, St George’s College) and other distinguished guests, Jot Singh Gunsola (ex-MLA and ex-Chairman of Mussoorie Municipal Council), Manmohan Singh Mall (ex-Chairman of Mussoorie Municipal Council), OP Uniyal (ex-Chairman of Mussoorie Municipal Council) and Anuj Gupta (ex-Chairman, Mussoorie Municipal Council).
The Opening Ceremony began with a Prayer Dance, after which the Chief Guest, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat Brother Babu Varghese, Brother Alphonse Tirkey, Brother Ramesh Amalanathan and Brother Felix Kumar and other special guests lit the ceremonial lamp.
Thereafter, the students presented a melodious welcome song after which the activities conducted by the school in the academic year were projected on a screen.
The students of Nirmala Inter College enthralled the audience with their presentation of a Play titled – ‘Where there is a will, There is a way’ -which showcased that hard work and patience lead to success.
Thereafter, the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the students who excelled in Academics took place. In Academics, Khushi Chauhan of Class X who scored 80.8% and Ahtesham Ansari and Yusra of Class XII who scored 83.2% and 80.8%, respectively, were awarded mementos and cash prizes.
Thereafter, teachers Naushad Alam, Pooja, Manju Thapa, SS Payal, Manisha Dhanai, Shakuntala Chamoli, Aarti Chauhan and Rajeshwari Thapliyal were also awarded for their 100% attendance.
A Memento was presented to the Chief Guest, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, by Brother Babu Varghese and Brother Alphonse Tirkey.
The Chief Guest congratulated the students and appreciated the efforts of the teachers and the students in the smooth conduct of the Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony 2024.
The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Bro Alphonse Tirkey.
The afternoon came to an end with the announcement of the overall results.
Gandhi House secured the first position with 137 Points, Shastri House stood second with 127 Points, and Tagore House stood third with 120 Points.
