Dehradun, 10 Jun: Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee president Ganesh Godiyal has appealed to all the Congress BLA-2 volunteers to ensure positive cooperation and effective coordination with the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process to ensure an error-free electoral roll. Addressing party workers, Godiyal emphasised that a pure, transparent and accurate voter list is essential for the strength of democracy. He said it is the collective responsibility of all the stakeholders to ensure that eligible citizens are included in the rolls and that no genuine voter is unnecessarily deleted.

Godiyal called upon Congress BLA-2 workers nominated by the party to play an active role in their respective booth areas by assisting election officials and BLOs in the revision exercise. He urged them to spread awareness about registering new eligible voters, providing necessary information regarding deceased or relocated voters, and correcting errors in the existing rolls. He reiterated that the Congress party has always stood for free and fair elections and therefore workers must uphold democratic values by following the guidelines of the Election Commission and contributing constructively to make the voter list more accurate and reliable.

The PCC President further stated that, if at any level complaints arise regarding the removal of eligible voters’ names or irregularities in the electoral rolls, the Congress party will raise such issues effectively before election authorities through democratic and constitutional means. Godiyal underlined that the party’s commitment is to safeguard the sanctity of the electoral process and to ensure that every eligible voter’s right is protected.
