Ghaziabad, 21 Dec: Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd) participated as the Chief Guest in the 17th National Conference of the National Soldiers‘ Organization on Saturday. On this occasion, the Governor honored the families of brave martyrs and war widows.
The Governor stated that the National Soldiers‘ Organization is working in the areas of personal and character development alongside brave soldiers and patriotic citizens. The National Integration and Character Building program is an example of this. This family has been created through the selfless devotion of thousands of patriotic citizens and brave soldiers, and being a member of this family is a matter of pride for all.
Lt Gen Singh appreciated the National Soldiers‘ Organization for its efforts to eradicate social evils, promote the welfare of martyrs’ families, and empower ex-servicemen. He mentioned that the organization is strengthening the spirit of “Nation First” by uniting valorous soldiers and patriotic citizens.
The Governor appealed to all citizens to eliminate vices like addiction and drugs, promote moral values through education, and maintain national unity. He emphasized that unity in diversity is India’s greatest strength, and we should contribute collectively to the creation of a self-reliant and developed India.
On this occasion, the organization’s president, Col TP Tyagi (Retd), along with other office bearers and many distinguished soldiers, were present.
