New Delhi, 9 Apr: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) attended the MIICCIA Legend Enterprise Awards 2026 in New Delhi as the Chief Guest. The event was organised to mark the completion of 10 years of the Millennial India International Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MIICCIA).
Addressing the gathering, the Governor stated that entrepreneurship is not merely an economic activity but a powerful force for nation-building. He said that behind every successful enterprise lies determination, hard work, and the ability to make decisions in adverse situations. Referring to his military experience, he noted that true leadership is tested in challenging circumstances.
The Governor said that institutions like MIICCIA act as a bridge between the government and industry, promoting dialogue, coordination, and cooperation. He appreciated the organisation’s role in encouraging entrepreneurship over the past decade.
Referring to the vision of “Developed India 2047”, he emphasised that achieving this goal requires the participation of all stakeholders. He stated that while the government provides a conducive environment, industries and entrepreneurs drive growth through innovation, investment, and execution.
The Governor highlighted that progress in tourism, MSMEs, and other sectors in Uttarakhand is strengthening the state’s economy. He affirmed the state’s commitment to sustainable and balanced development. He invited the industry to invest in Uttarakhand in areas such as tourism, wellness, manufacturing, and renewable energy. Congratulating the award winners, he described their contributions as inspiring.
